Trips for all Ages

Leven Trip Nov 2011

This page offers Trips co-ordinated by Colin for club paddlers of all ages. I tend to do the more advanced paddlers so if you are a young beginner take a look at the Juniors Trips page.  When making a bid to take part in a trip please pass it to Colin by e-mail at lomondkayakclubcoach@gmail.com.

Sunday 1 July.  River Orchy Trip Catnish to Dalmally.  For 3* paddlers only but anyone who thinks they can paddle this should contact Colin and I will tell you if you can of not.  There will be an opportunity to sample Grade 2 WW but we will portage the rocky G3 by the cottage.  However, for those who do not drive this will require a serious commitment from parents.  Maximum of 6.  Meet Catnish about 1000 (1.5 hour drive); with shuttle etc finish at Dalmally about 1600. Note – this trip depends on water levels – sadly we need rain the week before to make this worthwhile.
Every club member under age 18 who takes part in an outdoor trip currently requires a signed parental consent form for each trip.  Please note that this is not us being awkward or officious – we are simply complying with the law.  Neither Robin or I can take your son/daughter on an outdoor trip unless you give us written permission on each occasion.   It is very distressing for us all when we have to turn paddlers away because they do not possess a signed consent form.
There is no charge for trips. Parents deliver/collect paddlers from the trip venue and must ensure paddlers have appropriate dress – a winter kit list is below and all junior paddlers will be carefully checked to ensure they have it all.   We provide boat, paddle, buoyancy aid, deck and helmet.
Remember – all Paddlers under age 18 need a signed Parental Consent Form to give to the Trip Coach or Leader.
  1. Please read our Club Trips Policy
  2. An A4 size single Parental Consent Form for 1 paddler is here.
  3. An A4 size double Parental Consent Form for 2 paddlers for 1 trip or 1 paddler for 2 trips is here

Only Coach-led and Club trips (see Trips Policy above) will be shown on this page.  You must be a Club member to take part in trips.
